What type of waste is not allowed on grab hire trucks?
Any hazardous waste is not allowed on grab hire trucks, such as batteries, asbestos, oils, light bulbs etc. Therefore plasterboard can be picked up by a grab truck however, cannot be mixed with any type of waste and kept on its own. Is grab hire cheaper than a skip hire?
Prices vary depending on the distance, type of waste and size. We’d recommend hiring grab hire if you have a large amount of one type of waste. It is convenient, money and time saving for you and your staff compared to a skip hire as you have to throw waste to a skip on your own.
Can I mix types of waste?
Yes, grab hire trucks can take mixed types of waste, however prices may vary due to how the type of waste is recycled. Our customer service team will assist you when you’re inquiring.
How much waste can a grab hire truck take?
Our grab hire trucks have a safe working load of 1 tonne (this how much weight the clamshell can pick up). They can fit up to 15 yr3 (11 500l), weighing up to 15.5t, which is approximately 4 female elephants.
Our trucks have Ultra-Low carbon emissions as they are Euro 6c compliant.
